The countries Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus are involved in the implementation of the project “Integrated management and system of measures to reduce negative impact of invasive alien species in protected areas of crossborder region” (project number: ENI-LLB‑1–077, programme: The 2014–2020 European Neighbourhood Instrument Cross-border Cooperation Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Programme) has jointly agreed on a Common List of invasive species for protected areas in the transboundary region. This list includes 13 plant species and 12 animal species, the occurrence and management of which will be studied further in the project.

The general public is invited to participate and report to the University of Daugavpils on these species if they have been observed in the following 13 border protected areas:

  • Teiči Nature Reserve 
  • Rāzna National Park
  • Adamovas Lake Nature Park 
  • Nature Park “Aiviekstes paliene”
  • Nature Reserve “Grebļukalns
  • Nature Park “Sauka”
  • Nature Reserve “Lubānas mitrājs”
  • Nature Reserve “Ojatu ezers”
  • Protected Landscape Area “Augšdaugava”
  • Protected Landscape Area “Augšzeme”
  • Nature Reserve “Skujaines un Svētaines ieleja”
  • Nature Park “Bauska”
  • Protected natural monument “Blankenfeldes muižas aleja”
